Incorporate textures in your interior but don’t go overboard! You want to create an easy vibe, not create a cluttered mess. If you really like two art pieces, then instead of hanging both of them at the same time, alternate between both monthly. 

Add in the woven chairs, glass bottles, shells, or textured pillows around the room. You can create an accent wall by painting it in a striking blue, while keeping the rest in muted white. 

Woven coffee tables, recycled glass vases, decorative branches, cotton throw pillows, jute baskets are some items that can provide your room some texture. One other way is to incorporate house plants, they give a much-needed pop of color to your room while still being minimalist.

Imagine, you’re designing your living room. You find a beautiful minimalistic white sofa. For texture, you add in some jute pillows, woven basket, woven coffee table and even some house-plants. Now, all this comes under the traditional design. To give your living room a modern twist, add in some decorative quotes – photo frames, a soft rug below the coffee table, bright blue lamps beside the sofa, or some accent wall behind the sofa. 

Stick to fewer accent pieces across your home, instead of stuffing it with all the coastal decorative items that you can find.
